Moving Day… What A Pain

November 29th, 2010

I’m not very inspired today to write a personal blog for you because Kathy and I have been moving our stuff from the house to the new two bedroom apartment. We both feel like someone has been beating us. I know… it has to be done.

How many of you Boomers have had the privilege of doing this recently? Baby Boomers by the score have been downsizing to smaller homes or apartments for many reasons. Many of us no longer want the responsibilities of home ownership. You know, no more yard mowing and snow shoveling. No more fixing and repairing.

Others want to downsize because the kids are gone. Why not? A smaller place can be quite cozy. My wife and I are very excited about our new move and can’t wait until we are completely finished with the moving. Another 48 hours and we will be sleeping in our new, fourth floor, two bedroom bungalow.

I promise I won’t bother you anymore with our moving horror stories. Better things to come on my next post. Be good.

Good luck during the move, don’t forget to label your boxes!

My daughter-in-law thought of labeling the boxes (I’m not that smart). Thanks for your note. It will soon be over.
